Performance Pipe s Bloomfield Plant, located in southeastern Iowa near Ottumwa, IA is recruiting for the position of Safety & Training Representative.

This position will coordinate all plant safety, health, environmental, and security related issues and manage the internal employee training program activities including but not limited to:

  • Manage the on-boarding process of new hires including orientation and training.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining safety strategies, programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct inspections for storm water, SPCC, and federal air quality.
  • Completion of compliance reports, including but not limited to OSHA, Tier II Reports, SARA 313 Form R, and Emission reports.
  • Responsible for supporting incident investigation, reporting, and leading/participating on hazard analysis evaluations.
  • Ensuring compliance with company, local, state, federal, and OSHA rules and regulations.
  • Serving as point of contact for Safety issues during regulatory and company audits.
  • Interacts with plant operations, maintenance, and contractors ensuring safe work practices.
  • Conduct periodic audits of potentially hazardous work areas, process operations, work practices, and procedures.

    Bachelor s degree in an EH&S-related discipline and relevant experience required, manufacturing experience strongly preferred. In lieu of the degree requirement, a minimum of 4 years of relevant EH&S-related experience will be considered. This position requires working in a team environment and communicating with employees at all levels in the organization. Successful candidate must have effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, be well organized and willing to promote change for continuous improvement in plant safety. Must be competent with Microsoft Office. Specifically, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. High quality standards and a commitment to high performance levels are a must.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
